Thanks to the wonder of the illustrious internets - today we shall bring you a slice of the pie that is the scout - a fast and generally frenetic little bugger that is best known for Baseball bats and running away before you can beat him senseless.

TF2Wiki describes the scout as: “The Scout is the “twitch” class of Team Fortress 2. He is the fastest of all the classes and has the ability to double-jump. ..Now that’s out of the way - an important announcement - right after the jump.

TF2uesday is changing! We will still have the regular screenshots uploaded for your fix of strange Team Fortress - however now we shall be following themes.

“THEMES?” you say?

Well yes. Themes.

Generally to stop myself having to just find a bunch of strange and amusing screenshots of perhaps one of my favourite games of all time, I will be following themes like Class, Situation and Glitches. So expect to see TF2-uesday - “Meet the Scoot” or “Meet the Sapper” coming soon - just to keep it all uniform and nifty.

That also means that each TF2-uesday will end with a request for YOU to help me set up images for the next TF2-uesday. So if you have any strange screenshots to provide for next weeks TF2-uesday, the theme shall be:

Can't we just be friends?

Well I can’t really call this a rant, and before people get up in arms about which I feel is better, I’ll disappoint you all RIGHT now.

They are BOTH great games.

Right…Are the fanboys gone? …oh good they have lost interest.

To kick it off, one of the main things I have to get off my chest is that though both games are OBVIOUSLY designed as the ’superhero-sandbox’ type of game that made so many people point and scream “RIP OFFFF” at the opposing game of their choice, BUT the bottom line is that they are still very different games.

I mean yes, both games feature gravelly voiced 20-somethings who awaken to find themselves being able to do all kinds of freaky shiznit that they would not USUALLY be able to do on their way to work, like saving a few minutes on their morning commute by either a) riding electrical wires like a crazy bullet train OR b) sprinting up tall buildings, however each game comes into its own with the variety and variation of the stories.

I mean Prototype, at its core is not just a superhero sandbox. Its a chaos simulator. Want to turn into a frail old woman and hurl cars at helicopters, before climbing a 30 story tall building and elbow dropping a tank? Yes, you can.

Meanwhile InFamous is more of a story that compels you with discovering yourself in an extremely terrible situation with yourself as everyones scapegoat/savior/courier. However, if you want to zip along train rails with lightening coursing through your legs while you zoom in VERY close and zap bad guys in the nuts - it’s all here, waiting to be exploited.

Generally the biggest difference between the two is story. InFamous is all about the story, its the core of the game, everything you do comes down to it, and this doesn’t hinder the game at all - it makes you feel involved, and at times downright angry. Now in a frustrated way, more in a sense that you start to feel bad about the lead character Cole and can see that having superpowers isn’t the coolest thing in the world - it can suck sometimes. But then you have Prototype - where the story, though there, isn’t the focus of the game. Prototype is about seeing the craziest way to deal with a situation and doing it. Arms that turn into hammers? Giant gooey spikes shooting out of the ground and impaling those douchebags that keep shooting at you? Story be damned - you can go nuts and progress your own ridiculous way.

InFamous: Adding electricity makes EVERYTHING better.

Graphics wise, InFamous is definately the superior of the two - but I say this lightly. I am a firm believer that if you feel that graphics make the game, then you aren’t giving gameplay a chance. Prototype looks just fine the way it does, and it does what it sets out to achieve VERY well, specifically with how powers look - just that InFamous looks a little more polished, and you can’t help but feel that it’s making good use of the PS3. But once again to make sure fanboys don’t start foaming at the mouth - PROTOTYPE LOOKS JUST FINE.

So in summary? They are both worth every cent. If you disregard one because someone said that it sucks COMPARED to the other - give it a chance. Even if you don’t buy these games - rent them, or make use of the amazing gift of FRIENDS and borrow a copy off one of your friends who has cash to burn.

That rich bastard.

The game is basically a graphic novel that you get to control - generally you play as the rookie lawyer Phoenix Wright, and solve crimes and such and so forth.

And it is stupidly fun.

I mean seriously, how you question people is just fun, with the clever and witty writing of the characters, and visually watching witnesses start to sweat on the stand as you pick apart their testimony is amazingly satisfying - but I am not going to lie, there are a few frustrating parts. I not going to spoil anything, but at a particular part you are actually REQUIRED TO FAIL to continue with the court case. So I exhausted every avenue, presented all evidence, questioned every goddamn thing the lying bastard said and got NOTHING, and all I needed was to GIVE UP before the game progressed. And I had to discover that in a playguide. I feel dirty.

But I just can’t stop playing.

Not that I have ever done that, mind.

But after finding an exceptionally rare copy of the game at my local EB, (which is inhabited by some very magical and friendly folk, who make hundreds of dollars vanish from my credit card ever other week - and I am okay with that) I umm’ed and ahhh’ed and eventually decided it was time to see what all the fuss was about.

I must be some kind of super idiot for not picking it up sooner. Within an hour of starting the game, I had drank from a very unsanitary, and colourful…toilet.

Radioactive Toilet....DETECTED.

Who would have thought “Activating” a toilet would make me crouch and take a hearty and audible SLURP. And here I was, stupidly trying to empty my bladder.

After killing a legion of Mad Maxx style punk rock cannibal men in a local supermarket, dressed in police riot gear and a Jason Voorhees hockey mask, I found myself slurping away at every toilet and sink I could find, and throwing the ever growing surplus of grenades I found hidden in every drawer and metal box at local wildlife.

I even found myself flinging open other toilet stall doors, hoping to find a golden toilet to drink from that may bestow me some kind of greater super power - but no such luck.

It was right about this point that I realised I was thoroughly enjoying myself - and it had also dawned on me that the game had barely started. There was still a wealth of content ready for me to unravel and NOM upon like some kind of boiled sweet that small children are usually forbidden from enjoying before bed. I was getting very excited, considering I had just finished getting severe radiation poison for a nice lady I met in a shanty town, when I headed off towards my next adventure to dance in a mine field for the same nice lady that asked me to poison myself.

When suddenly, while enjoying the incredible landscape - the game froze.

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t mad though. I had just saved after a rather big trip, so nothing was lost - and it gave me the time I needed to take that long overdue toilet break I was meaning to enjoy several hours BEFORE I had decided to install the game.

Plus, it was nice enough to freeze at a particular pretty scene, so it wasn’t too infuriating.

I didnt realise if I missed a TF2-uesday I’d get an angry email. So time for a quick Team Fortress 2 Screenshot!
